The Sailing Vessel TATOOSH

Traditional lines above the waterline belies the more modern underwater hull shape with a long fin keel and spade rudder. The integral water tank fills the bilge.

A dinette layout is more usual for the Nantucket Clippers, but I like TATOOSH's teak interior and settee layout with a midships table.

TATOOSH gets alot of attention out on the water and has been followed by tour boats like this one. I guess we look pretty good out there. My friend Jo has provided some local knowlege to keep me afloat in shallow water. Spectacle Island is in the background.

TATOOSH continues to be refitted and updated, with plans for bronze opening ports to be added to the cabin facing foward. A large 7 inch opening port has been added aft toward the cockpit. Eventually opening ports will be added to the cabin sides replacing the 8 fixed ports. The image here is before, and much has changed. The most immediate project was the replacement of the cabin sole, which is vitually complete.
